Barring top shelf carry guns like the Staccatto and Wilson Combat, I would only trust my life to a handgun under the brand names; Glock, Sig, CZ, M&P, HK, Walther, Beretta and maybe FN.In particular, the grip on the Canik is significantly longer (which is a must for some people with big hands), and magazines are significantly more available/affordable. Additionally, the competition aftermarket support for the Canik TP9 series is actually, surprisingly, quite good. The DA is a true DA/SA gun, similar to many hammer fired weapons like your sig p226. . Its basically a Walther P99 clone, but alot less expensive, yet just as good. That being said, I love the CET (Canik Enhanced Trigger) and the Rival comes with that. But it looks like the rival loses rear sights with an optic as well.
