I have a slightly different opinion:-. Having a secondary weapons helps in more ways than completing sets. e.g:- Switchglaive is great against human enemies and decent against Yokai. Splitstaff is Yokai melter and decent against humans.. both scale with magic as primary stat. Having two weapons is here for a reason and not just a filler. Imo at that point, you'll gain access to mystic dyad which enables 2 mystic arts for a weapon and switchglaive has 2 of the best mystic arts which involve reducing ki when attacking and increasing attack power. You can then stack this with a carnage talisman for even more damage. So I'd say stick with the glaive.
