You can find a decent 2 bedroom in a renovated/converted house for about $1100-1500 per month and sometimes a 1 bedroom for $800-$1000, which is cheaper than on campus housing. For reference, I'm a mechanical engineer w/ 2yoe working in my field, currently enrolled in KBAI as my first course, and thoroughly enjoying it.Neuroscience Major? Hey guys! I've been hearing a lot of talk about Tech opening a Neuroscience major in 2017. I don't know how true this is-- I asked my CS adviser and he said he hadn't heard about it. If this were to be true, I would like to change my major to Neuroscience and pre-med, which would change my schedule radically.15 votes, 45 comments. 46K subscribers in the gatech community. This means that if you were to apply Summer 2023 you would not have a guaranteed acceptance and would instead be treated as a regular transfer student.First you need at least 30 credits to transfer, not sure why but you will have more chance the more you have, I got 50+ by the time I got in gatech. All my credits were in the requirements for my major and eligible for transfering ( can check in gatech).Add a Comment. SortaAncientMariner • 8 yr. ago. Yes, I have done the AE Limerick program. I've narrowed down to these 3 threads for my CS major. Here are my concerns: Sysarch: The thread I initially wanted to do the most. Loved 2110 and especially the first half of 2200. From the list of 5 AE options I've taken, I'd rank them from best to worst: Computational Fluid Dynamics (AE 4040) with Dr. Ruffin - Interesting class with a lot of theory behind what common CFD solvers use; fair exams with not terrible homework assignments (but not good, either), and on a personal note, this class could've possibly helped me secure an in-person interview with Lockheed.Catalyst and The Standard are two buildings that missed their construction targets and people got screwed over hard. You don't want that happening to you. If your budget is a max of $1300 then your only options for housing near campus are Homepark or Centennial.Virtual Memory is the idea that we don't want a user's program to have to know what physical memory is available; it would be really messy. Instead of all that, we just allow each process to think that it owns an entire memory space, from 0x0 to however big our (virtual) address is. We call this process specific address the virtual address. 46K subscribers in the gatech community. A subreddit for my dear Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. There are so many festivals, music venues, public parks, sports teams in Walking distance from Tech. And Atlanta is much cheaper than other comparable cities. ECE 3741 is a 1 hour lab class. You'll have pre-lab quizzes that are written by the GTA that range from easy to nigh-impossible. Something like 30% of your grade is your lab quizzes, 30% is lab reports, and 40% is the lab final. Relate my interests to why I'm interested in their company.3012 has a bad rep because CS majors need to take it. As a math major it’s pretty standard fare, if you have a really solid math background it’s completely manageable. For CS majors though it’s very different from the normal curriculum, and requires a lot of skills that other classes don’t, so it seems much harder. 9.Welcome to the r/gatech wiki!
