O'Leno State Park is a gem tucked away along the banks of the scenic Santa Fe River. Many facilities at the park were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. There's an area for swimming, camping facilities (full), picnic area, and cabins. Hiking trails take you through various environments.Neither camping area has electricity or hot water. Reservations: Please contact the ranger station at 386-454-1853 up to 11 months in advance to make reservations for the primitive group camps. O'Leno State Park has the capability of holding up to 45-foot long RVs/trailers. All of their campsites have 30-amp connections and are pet friendly but are not full hook-up sites, meaning no water and sewer. Group camping is a popular activity and can hold up to 120 people for large gatherings and events.

The wife and I camped at O’leno for three nights (4/17-4/19). Overall, I’d rate the camp a 9 out of 10. The campsites where a little close together and since we where there during the Spring Break season, the camp seemed to be a little crowded. The park is a little spread out so bring your bike.

The park is beautiful, with a suspension bridge and a large tree my girls named “the tree of 1k roots”. Kids will enjoy climbing and playing in the river sink filled with turtles.
