I have a Makita DCS7900 its the same as the 7901 but with out the de-comp starter. The 7900/7801 is the Dolmar PS7900 in the US. DCS = Dolmar Chain Saw. If your really interested in just the 311 or the 391 and can afford either one get the 391. They are basicly the exact same saws with the 391 having more power. Is it really running perfectly at high speed - to check, find out how many turns out the H screw is, it should be around 1. You should at least get it pressure checked, then maybe change the L screw, but may be safer/quicker to get a new carb.On the 310 the AV was much more flexible and is constructed different. On the 352 one AV spring is actually connected directly to the motor. The 352 actually felt much stiffer and as if it's really not the same build as the cheaper 310.
