If you are on console a longer route that picks up more treents is a good option too. As for the bee itself, maliwan cap, which gives it the elemental resist, I'd 3/64, so ~1/21 per bee.As long as the recharge delay is under ~7 seconds, you'll be fine - use your class skills that fasten shield recharge to compensate for the 1-2 seconds extra delay. The amp damage on the other hand - the more it is, the better. Or, in other words: Big dmg numbers = gooood. That's ARPG 101 right there.Lastly, you will need a good shield.
